Katrina Darrell “The American Idol Bikini Girl” Audition Video

American Idol 2009 stirs up some controversy last January 13, 2009 when Katrina Darrell showed up in the Phoenix, Arizona audition wearing only a bikini in front of the judges. Darrell, which now dubbed as the ‘American Idol Bikini Girl’ sang her own rendition of Mariah Carey’s “Vision of Love’ in front of Kara DioGuardi, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. Oh well, she really did provide a lot of nice vision to the male judges! From the looks of it Simon Cowell is just speechless while looking at her! Check out Katrina Darrell’s audition and listen carefully on what the judges say about her.
Gosh, from my observation she looks more of a Sports Illustrated Model to me than an American Idol contestant. She sings nicely but not at par with the others. Hmmm, the swimsuit she wore really did mask her ‘average voice’ and got the nod of the male judges.

My bet is she won’t last. She was able to pass through the first round all because of the shock value and since AI needs controversy they let her in. They have good contestants this year and I have my eye on a couple of them already.

Who thinks Chrystal Bowersox will be the 2010 American Idol? I think so since her most recent song was excellent and one of the finest performances I have yet heard on the show.
